Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a telephone conversation with HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, to discuss bilateral cooperation and ongoing regional developments.
During the call, both sides reviewed ways to advance joint coordination, particularly in light of intensified diplomatic efforts aimed at de escalation and strengthening regional stability. The discussion focused on enhancing collaboration to support security across the region and reinforcing mechanisms that promote dialogue.
Emphasis on Regional Stability
HE the Prime Minister underscored the importance of all parties committing to diplomacy and adhering to agreements outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. He stressed that ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz is essential for safeguarding regional security and preserving recent gains.
Qatarโs Support for De Escalation
His Excellency reiterated Qatarโs full support for ongoing initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and achieving a comprehensive, lasting accord that contributes to peace and stability in the region.
